We have recently shared communication with all Conference by the Sea registered attendees about the state of emergency in Maryland and the need to address the statewide Conference based on COVID 19 concerns. Our mission and benefits include providing a quality Professional Development/ Conference experience and we intend to be successful in 2020.

We have GREAT NEWS to share!
MSCCA has successfully been able to move the Conference by the Sea, Celebrating Diversity and our 35th Birthday to September 24-27, 2020.
MSDE will honor the same Conference approval number (CWO-158225).

We’ve made it easy for you to stay registered…You will not need to do anything at all!

Registrations will stay intact for attendees, presenters and exhibitors as long as you are currently registered, paid and received confirmation of your registration, there is nothing you need to do, should you wish to remain registered for the Conference by the Sea 2020.

Same great location, The Clarion Conference Center and Resort in Ocean City, MD with same quality training sessions, same timelines, same activities, with a new safe date. 

We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
MSCCA has consulted with the Clarion, MSDE and the Health Department to determine next steps and are proud to offer the Conference this fall. The MSCCA Conference by the Sea is currently sold out and there no openings right now. We have an extensive waiting list, if you choose to cancel, you will receive a full refund until the new deadline of August 29th. Please note there is no guarantee that MSCCA will be able to reopen registration until the wait list is addressed.

Sip and Paint is still on for Friday, September 25th!  If you added the Sip and Paint and paid, your seat is still reserved.

Training Vouchers:

MSDE’s Credentialing Branch has been working to assign the new date in their computer system, and they have been unable to extend your training voucher past the current 6-month expiration date of issuance. Training vouchers issued for the MSCCA conference will be voided. If you received a training voucher for the MSCCA conference, please discard it. The MSCCA conference has been rescheduled to September 24-27, 2020.  You must submit a new Application for Training Voucher to attend the MSCCA conference.  MSDE is working with MSCCA and has recommended that participants begin reapplying for the Conference by the Sea anytime after April 1, 2020.

July 24 is the deadline to submit training vouchers to MSDE Credentialing Branch for Conference by the Sea 2020. Remember, if eligible, you may also choose to apply for the training reimbursement voucher!

Clarion Hotel /Condos-Accommodations:

All existing reservations have been moved to the NEW September date. The arrival and departure date will mirror what was previously booked. If the guest has an email address on file, they will receive a new reservation confirmation.  Due to the timing of the conference, Hotel room rates have increased $6 per night. The difference will be collected at check in, not on deposit. Should a guest cancel a reservation, the deposit is refundable if notice is given at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained.  We cannot guarantee that the same room type will be available if the reservation is canceled and rebooked at a later date.

(This applies especially to Marigot Beach Suites.)
